A self-taught artist with more than two decades of creative practice, Arathi Dharani trained as an engineer before her love of art awakened after a move to Indonesia. Arathi Dharani is a self-taught artist of natural talent and wide range, with a prolific output spanning more than twenty years. Trained as an engineer, she spent years in India's electronics industry before her artistic passion was sparked by a move to Indonesia. 阿拉提·达哈尼是一位天赋出众、涉猎广泛的自学艺术家，创作丰沛，历时二十余年。 她本是工程师，曾在印度电子业工作多年，直至移居印度尼西亚，艺术的热情才被点燃。
She draws inspiration from the art and culture of South-East Asia, from nature, from Japanese culture, and from the writings of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Her figurative works aim to evoke a sense of harmony, beauty and nostalgia in the viewer. 她的灵感源自东南亚的艺术与文化、自然万物、日本文化，以及诗哲罗宾德拉纳特·泰戈尔的著作。 她的具象作品，力求在观者心中唤起和谐、美与怀旧之感。
She works across many mediums and styles, with a particular love of drawing and painting in black ink. Creating spontaneously, she strives daily to make new work and to push the boundaries of her expression. 她游走于多种媒介与风格之间，尤其钟爱以黑墨作画。她随性挥洒，日日求新， 不断拓展自我表达的边界。
