For over half a century the South-East Asia Art Association has gathered painters, calligraphers, ceramicists and seal-engravers from across the region — sustaining a living tradition of South-East Asian art through exhibitions, scholarship and the patient work of mentorship. 半个多世纪以来，东南亚美术协会汇聚了来自本区域的画家、书法家、 陶艺家与篆刻家——通过展览、学术研究与悉心的传帮带， 延续着东南亚艺术生生不息的传统。

The Association traces its origin to the Ten People Art Exhibition of the late 1960s — a circle that included Yeh Chi Wei, Tan Seah Boey, Choo Keng Kwang and Lim Tze Peng, whose travels through India, Thailand, Cambodia and Nepal reshaped what South-East Asian painting could mean. 协会的源头可追溯至上世纪六十年代末的《十人画展》—— 这一群体包括叶之威、陈城梅、朱庆光与林子平，他们游历印度、泰国、 柬埔寨与尼泊尔的经历，重新塑造了东南亚绘画的可能。
Formally constituted on 26 September 1970, the Association went on to organise the inaugural South East Asia University and College Students Art Competition in 1971, and the watershed South-East Asia Art Exhibition in 1974. Since 1995, the ink master Wu Molin has served as Honorary Chairman and Chief Advisor, anchoring the Association's exchange with artists across China. 协会于 1970 年 9 月 26 日正式成立，随后在 1971 年举办了首届 东南亚大专学生美术比赛，并于 1974 年举办了具有分水岭意义的东南亚艺术展。 自 1995 年起，水墨大家吴墨麟一直担任名誉主席兼首席顾问， 为协会与中国各地艺术家的交流奠定了根基。

A companion solo by Ang Teck Lee — Ang Teck Lee Art Tour Solo Exhibition 2025 — follows at 55 Artspace from 25 to 29 October. 同期，洪德利的个展《洪德利绘画之旅个展特辑 2025》 将于 10 月 25 日至 29 日在 55 Artspace 举行。
