Tan Ewe Liang works within the classical vocabulary of Chinese painting, moving comfortably between its major genres — from studies of rock and chrysanthemum to the venerable "Three Friends of Winter," pine, plum blossom and bamboo rendered together, and figures gathered at a riverbank beneath the shade of banana leaves. 陈有良的创作根植于中国画的传统脉络，游刃于其各大画科之间——从奇石与 菊花的写生，到寓意深远的《岁寒三友》，松、梅、竹合于一图，再到蕉荫水畔的人物群像。

His water-town landscapes, with their arched stone bridges and the reflections of home and boat, carry the same unhurried attention to atmosphere and light found throughout his floral and figure studies.
