Born in 1952, Loo Kok Wah is a self-taught painter with over 40 years of practice, whose work has been shown across Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea. 卢国华生于 1952 年，是一位自学成才的画家，从艺逾四十年，作品曾在新加坡、 马来西亚与韩国展出。
Loo Kok Wah began his artistic journey in the 1970s and 1980s, going on outdoor sketching trips with senior artists and developing his craft through self-study. He later completed a short-term oil painting course at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. 卢国华的艺术之旅始于上世纪七八十年代，当时他与几位前辈画家一起外出写生， 通过自学发展绘画技艺，后来在南洋美术专科学校修读了油画技巧短期课程。
Over more than 40 years of painting, drawing on his own intuition and observation, he has exhibited both locally and internationally — including invitation exhibitions in Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea's Asia Art Exhibition, and joint sketching trips and exhibitions with fellow artists in Johor Bahru and Malacca. 凭着自己的感觉与观察从事绘画创作四十余年，他参与了海内外多项展出， 包括新、马、韩国之亚细亚美术招待展，也多次与新马两地同道联合写生与画展（新山、马六甲）。
He has taken part in numerous annual exhibitions organized by art associations, had works selected for the Tan Tze Chor Art Award, and remains active in charity art events and exhibitions hosted by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and other art societies. 他多次参与艺术协会之常年美展与陈之初绘画比赛入选作品展，并多次参与 南洋美专和其他画会主办之画展，同时也常参与一些慈善组织之美术义画活动。
